Report by Daniel Mortlock:
The major topic of conversation at yesterday's match was whether today's would go ahead. The forecast was so consistently poor - rain all day, basically - that there was almost a sense of everyone hoping the game could be called off pre-emptively . . . which, to a good approximation, was what happened. Even with Fitz's new outfield drainage system, the square was under several inches of water at 10am, at which time we got our evenings back.
