Report by Daniel Mortlock:
The storm cloud that has come over the entire country this week has found plenty of literal expression in the last few days, resulting in a wet ground and a consistent forecast for heavy rain in the evening. At 2pm a somewhat pre-emptive decision was hence made to call the match off - something of a risk, given that the game would have been playable if there were no further rain.
Fortunately for the stability of the Remnants administration, the promised rain did materialise, thus suggesting that the early cancellation was the first good decision made in the UK since the previous Remnants match.
