Report by Daniel Mortlock:
The Woozlers got their revenge against us today after we thrashed them by 92 runs back in May.
They batted first and their opening pair of Sam Grimshaw (53) and Ed Hyde (42) put on 94 before Eli Ellwood (1/20) finally made the breakthrough. Despite the lack of wickets, the scoring never got out of hand - and we clearly put in a top-notch fielding effort, as attested to by both John Moore ("Bowl v well best I've seen all season") and Andy Owen ("We were brilliant fielding and bowling").
The batting, however, wasn't quite so good. Nick Clarke (34 off 26 balls) and Olly Rex (33 off 38 balls) both did well at the top of the order, but a steady stream of wickets saw us sink to 91/9 in the 18th (six-ball) over. Our last wicket pair of Shivaji Patil (5 off 6 balls on Remnants debut) and Andy Owen (10* off 6 balls) got us to the stage where we needed 10 runs from the last three balls, but Woozlers captain Ryan Bridger held on to a pressure catch to give his team a 9 run win.
