The rain that ruined yesterday's six-a-side tournament continued on through the night, and by morning it was clear that today's game against The Woozlers wasn't going to happen. It seems we've got all the credit we're going to from the weather gods after our early-season sacrifice, although it is possible that all this rain is just punishment for the blasphemy of letting the prodigal fur-ball Phil Watson captain the side, which was indeed the plan for today. Sadly he's heading back to the west-country, so we'll miss out on a rare chance to be told to ``scatter'' by way of field-placement, although maybe this will at least induce some sunshine for tomorrow's match against Nick Clarke's Fen Ditton team.
