So, now that the weather's finally come around to the cricketer's way of thinking, blind circumstance has started being recalcitrant. Wolfson College's second XI was all set to take on the might of the Remnants Tuesday team, but then they were forced to (or maybe, rather than facing the might of our cricketing genius, chose to) play postponed inter-college cup game instead.
And, knowing our luck, the weather will be perfect as the evening goes to waste . . .
. . . but it seems our luck is not known. After a week of perfection, the weather went to pot today, and by virtue of Wolfson's cancellation we were spared one of those horrid ``on again, off again'' matches where the fielders keep falling over and nobody really manages to compete properly.
