Phil Watson, Girton's captain, not only looks a little like Moses, but also seems to have similar talents for controlling water. For the second time this season he managed to provide his team with a wet escape from a certain drubbing, a steady rainfall beginning about an hour prior to the start of play and continuing just long enough to have the game cancelled. (To be fair, it might well have been Remnants that was saved: today's wash-out means our last 10 matches have now consisted of 5 losses, 2 internal games, 2 cancellations and 1 no result, with no sign of a victory on the horizon -- or anywhere else.)
