All good things must pass, and our week of 30-degree days and clear skies was rudely shoved out of the way by billowing black clouds and torrential downpours. Even worse, though, rather than coming early enough in the day to have cancelled our game against the Education Nomads, both teams had to go through the motions of starting the match before the inevitable occured.
Play was halted with Remnants just getting into gear at 30/1 after 4 eight-ball overs with John Gull (an aggressive 18 off 19 balls) stranded just 82 short of his maiden Remnants century. Maybe next time.
