Report by Daniel Mortlock:
It was a miserable day all-round - quite nice not to have been involved in any way. We took on a Coton side that apparently had most of the first XI, and they were basically just a bit too good. Batting first, Remnants almost made it into triple figures, although it was a struggle all the way. Highest scorers were Dave Rowson (27*, finally leading by example) and Rich Savage (20, continuing his run of good form), although no-one was very comfortable. When we took to the field thing got even worse, apparently. The only "wicket" was in fact a retirement, and there were more boundaries than anyone cares to remember. Oh well. Nice to know where one stands in the greater scheme of things.
