We have reason to believe that a cricket match between the members of Remnants CC, a gang of known criminals based in Cambridge, and the upstanding gentlemen of Essex CID was arranged for this Friday evening. However it has come to our attention that the large amount of rain in the last few days has made the Fitzwilliam pitch unplayable, and, as a result of this, the match has been cancelled. As yet there is no reason to suspect foul play in this episode, although of course we are keeping all possibilities in mind. To this end one entity, to whom we will refer to as ``god'', has been taken in for questioning, but we would like to emphasise that he is just ``assisting us with our enquiries'' at this stage and that no arrests have been made.
